The School of Humanities is a unique feature of I²IT that aims at sensitising and exposing students to the broader social, cultural, ethical and human issues involved in technological and social changes. It offers courses in Life Skills Development, English, Corporate Communication, Philosophy, Foreign Languages, Liberal Arts, Yogic techniques, Meditation, Spiritual traditions and the Cultural heritage of India. They strike a fine balance in this merely technologically driven one-sided education and make students well acquainted with the contemporary phenomena like Globalisation, Fundamentalism, World Trade, Ecology and Sustainable Development. These credit courses are integrated in the mainstream courses, with a view of cultivating a critical mind and developing analytical and emotive capabilities of the students, making them responsible global citizens.
